Apple Arcade, Apple’s mobile gaming subscription service, has enjoyed a strong start thus far, but it’ll soon have competition in the form of the Google Play Pass.

As with Apple’s service, its Android counterpart will cost $4.99 per month. However, the first ten days using the Play Pass will be free, and the following twelve months will cost $1.99 per month. According to the tech giant, over 350 apps and games will be usable through its Play Pass, none of which will be littered with advertisements or in-app purchases.

Stardew Valley, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Monument Valley and Terraria will be among the video games the service will offer from the onset. Google’s Pass will also include software beyond games, with AccuWeather and Facetune being among the apps on the roster. Google intends to upload software to the Play Pass on a monthly basis and will list them on a tab, quickly alerting subscribers to what’s new. However, whereas Apple Arcade is championing its exclusives, like Frogger in Toy Town, the Google Play Pass is less stressed about exclusivity, nor is it “directly funding” the software it’ll host.

Google Play Pass is slated to be available later this week. It’ll be compatible with Androids, laptops and tablets sporting version 16.6.25 or higher of the Google Play Store. Additionally, Android phones will need to be on version 4.4 or higher.
