Last week, EA released a new game in the Star Wars franchise in Star Wars: Squadrons. The space-combat game has you piloting your favorite ships from the Star Wars franchise in a story campaign and multiplayer. The game’s PVP mode features only two modes of play and about six different maps, with no microtransactions. The game has reportedly sold well, placing second in the UK Sales Charts, while the game was met with positive critical reception.

However, if you’re hoping that there would be any post-launch support, you’ll be disappointed. In an interview with UploadVR, Ian Frazier, Creative Director of Star Wars: Squadrons, said that there are no plans to support the game after launch. “Never say never, so to speak, but as far as our philosophy goes we’re not trying to treat the game as a live service,” said Frazier. “We’ve tried to treat it in kind of an old-school approach saying, ‘You’ve paid the $40, this is the game, and it’s entirely self-contained. We’re not planning to add more content, this is the game, and we hope you understand the value proposition.’”

Along with no post-launch support, Frazier said there are no plans to release the game on Oculus Quest, though you’ll be able to play it with Quest linked to a PC.

Star Wars: Squadron was released on October 2.
