Hunter x Hunter is one of the most popular manga series in the world. The series is categorized as “shonen” with its key target audience being primarily teenage boys aged 12-17.

Its graphic manga series was first published in 1998 but there have been many hiatuses during its run. Primarily caused by Togashi’s numerous ailments and illness. Most recently the manga went on a two-year hiatus in June 2014, and a five-month hiatus in August 2017.

Togashi has frequently apologized to readers during this time and has promised to redraw portions of the manga for collected volume releases. The last chapter of Hunter x Hunter was published in November 2018 and the hiatus has been the series’ longest pause to date.

As of now, there has not been a confirmed release date for the highly-anticipated newest chapters Hunter x Hunter, Togashi revealed in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump that the rough draft of ten chapters has been completed, which is standard for a volume. This coincides with the number “6” in the photo of his tweet and the caption “four more episodes”

The tweet has gained over 1.3 million likes and has been retweeted 390,000 times. Togashi, who joined Twitter last week, is now the second-most followed manga creator on Twitter with over two million followers, a number that is sure to go up once the release date is revealed.
