After the holiday season wraps up, it becomes difficult to find good games at a discount, which is exactly why RPG fans should jump on this current deal for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake.

Right now on Amazon, the recent remake of an absolutely iconic Japanese RPG is on sale for Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch. The deal does vary by console, though. The discount for the Xbox Series X version of the game is the greatest with 23% off of the original price of $59.99, making it $45.99. The Nintendo Switch version is 16% off at $50.40, and for the PlayStation 5, the game is 9% off at $54.50. Amazon’s page for Dragon Quest III shows that this is the lowest price for the game in the last 30 days. The page, however, does not disclose how long the game will be available on sale for, so it’s best to act quickly if you’re contemplating the purchase.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake was released recently in Nov. of 2024 and has received a rating of 7/10 on Steam and 9/10 from IGN. The game is a remastered version of the third installment of the Dragon Quest series from 1988. Fans of Japanese style role-playing games should be extremely familiar with the game’s turn-based battle system as the Dragon Quest games popularized this style of play. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake features a remastered version of The Erdrick Trilogy, which covers the first three games in the Dragon Quest franchise. This remake features vibrant and stunning HD-2D graphics (hence the title) with fresh animations to boot. The setting is immersive and filled to the brim with treasures and epic locations.

Any old-school RPG fan would have a field day with this game so do yourself or someone else a favor and snag it at a discount while you can.
