Fans of the popular Grand Theft Auto series received some exciting news on Thursday, as it was announced that Grand Theft Auto V will be coming to both PlayStation 5 with an “expanded and enhanced” version of the game.

The ‘new’ version of the game will come sometime in 2021, most likely in the second half of next year, Rockstar Games announced. The announcement did not include details as to whether or not this version of GTA V will also come to Microsoft’s Xbox Series X, but fans should not be too worried as it is expected that Microsoft will try to get their hands on this version of the popular franchise.

For the first three months of the GTA V’s release on PS5, the game will be available for free for players. After that, it is expected that the game will have its own separate price from the regular version of the game.

No further details have come out regarding what this new version of GTA V will consist of, but given that the game nearly broke the Epic Games Store in May when it was available for a week for free, odds are this will be an extremely popular release.
