Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat recently announced his collaboration with Fortnite via the Las Vegas Sphere.

On August 18, a Twitch livestream showcased the intricate spectacle playing on the sphere, giving fans a first look at the upcoming skin release on September 12. Based on the reveal, it appears the skin will come with a new emote, back bling and a pickaxe.

At the end of the display, the Mafiathon 3 logo appeared, announcing yet another significant development for Cenat. Mafiathon is a Twitch subathon created by Cenat, where he stayed on the livestream for 24 hours for 30 days. The title, “Mafiathon”, is a portmanteau of the words “Mafia”, Cenat’s fandom name and “marathon.” During this special event, Cenat had multiple celebrity guests, including Snoop Dogg, Bill Nye, Kevin Hart and several others. Following the Mafiathon, Cenat donated a 20% of his earnings to constructing a school in Nigeria.

Since Cenat’s Fortnite skin and Mafiathon 3 were announced through the same means, fans speculate that Mafiathon 3 will start in September, and Fortnite will have a major impact on the content that Cenat produces during those 30 days.

Fan Reactions

Under Fortnite‘s official X post announcing the collaboration, there were mixed reactions about Cenat receiving a skin. One user stated, “Kai doesn’t deserve a skin over Speed, who actually plays the game more often,” referring to another popular streamer, Speed, who often plays Fortnite during his live streams. Several other users had the same opinion, “kai cenat does NOT need nor deserve an icon skin, this is getting ridiculous. @Fortnite please, add speed next, he deserves it way more and has actually put in the work for it,” they posted.

On the other hand, fans were thrilled to see their favorite streamer added to Fortnite. “Welcome to the Icon Series, Kai,” one user commented, while another added, “Fortnite x Twitch W move.” Others were impressed by the large scale of the reveal, “Kai is on the iconic sphere? oh this is BIG big,” a fan stated, along with, “Such a fire reveal! Congrats, Kai!!”
