While PlayStation gamers were having trouble in securing a pre-order for the PS5, PC gamers were having to fight their own battle to get a copy of the Nvidia RTX 3080. The latest graphics card from Nvidia comes with “enhanced RT Cores and Tensor Cores, new streaming multiprocessors, and superfast G6X memory.” In laymen’s terms, it’s going to make your gaming PC even more powerful, so you can game with the latest advances, including ray-tracing, improved frame-rate and visuals, and much more.

The problem? Much like the PS5, the RTX 3080 sold out within minutes and many weren’t able to secure their copy in time. Some have even speculated that a good quantity of these devices were ordered by bots created by scalpers so they can sell on eBay at double the price.

While it stinks that many weren’t able to get the latest graphics card from Nvidia, there is some good news. In a response to a disgruntled user on Reddit, a spokesperson for Nvidia promised that the company will have more in stock by next week. “I can’t comment for our partners but we will have more cards next week,” says the representative.  “Users who previously signed up to be notified but did not get a chance to place an order will receive an email when the store has been updated with additional GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards.”

So, be on the lookout for any notifications from Nvidia regarding the RTX 3080.
