‘Pokémon UNITE’ Offering Zeraora As Launch Bonus By August 31

Pokémon UNITE has now officially launched on Nintendo Switch. Trainers now are able to download the game via Nintendo eShop, not only free but also with extra bonuses.

Pokémon UNITE is a strategic 5-on-5 team battle game that takes place in a new Pokémon region called Aeos Island. Initially, you will only be given a limited set of Pokémon after you finish the tutorial. But as you battle through the first season — “Welcome to Aeos Island!”— you can gain level rewards and essential items, both of which can unlock new Pokémon.

For those who want to take a shortcut to becoming a Pokémon Master, make sure to download the game before August 31 to receive the Unite license for the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora. This electric-type Pokémon can strike the battlefield like a lightning bolt, pummeling opponents and dealing massive damage in the blink of an eye. And his Unite Move casts an electric blast that paralyzes opponents inside the strike zone.

To recruit this powerful alley, you need to first complete the game’s initial tutorial, which then gives you access to the main menu hub. From there, hit the X box to open the sub-menus and scroll down on the Mail tab. Inside the Mailbox, you should see a message titled “Launch Bonus,” in which the Unite License for Zeraora lies.

In September, Pokémon UNITE will be available on mobile devices. According to Pokémon UNITE‘s news blog, Nintendo is building a smooth cross-platform between Switch and mobile devices, which will allow players on both platforms to easily battle against one another. Moreover, once you have registered a Nintendo Account or Pokémon Trainer Club account, you’ll be able to use your data on both devices.

Besides the current language setting, Pokémon UNITE will be installing French, Italian, German and Spanish later this year.

In an interview with the Japanese magazine Dime, the Chief of the Pokémon China division, Suenaga, promised that UNITE will be more than the general MOBA. While you can directly affect the game by throwing punches at the enemies, you can also make contributions by harvesting wild Pokemon for buffs or supporting allies. However, Dime reported that the game is still aiming at a more general audience, so advanced mechanics would not be showcased in UNITE.
