Gamers and fans of the PlayStation consoles have been waiting anxiously for the reveal of the PlayStation 5. Sony first announced the console in April 2019, but there have been very few details released since. Players were supposed to get their first look of the console last week, but that was postponed out of respect for the Black Lives Matter Protest.
On Monday, Sony announced that the PS5 reveal will now be held on Thursday, June 11. The reveal is expected to show the games that will be available on the console come its releases in December of this year.
Although this will not be an in person reveal, Sony has plans for how they will make this enjoyable event for its fans virtually. “This digital showcase will run for a bit more than an hour and, for the first time, we will all be together virtually experiencing the excitement together. A lack of physical events has given us an amazing opportunity to think differently and bring you on this journey with us, and hopefully, closer than ever before.”
It is rumored that Sony has a “big” lineup of games that they expect to reveal, with some titles including Battlefield 6, Cyberpunk 2077, God of War 2, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, among others.
