A lot of content will be available at launch for the upcoming racing game, Dirt 5. From a much more narrative-focused single player that features the voice talents of gaming legends Troy Baker and Nolan North to online progression, there’s a lot of content that will keep fans of the franchise coming back for a good while, and that’s not even counting the updates and DLC that will probably launch after the game’s release. With the Xbox Series X/S versions of the game arriving at launch, Codemasters has promised that save data will transfer over from the Xbox One version to the Series X/S.

However, if you’re planning on getting the PS4 version, you’ll have to start all over again on PS5, as the PlayStation versions of Dirt 5 won’t support cross-save between the two systems. When a Twitter user asked if progress will carry over from PS4 to PS5, the official Dirt Twitter account responded by saying that progress won’t be carried over.

The news comes only a few days after it was announced that PS4 save data wouldn’t transfer over to the PS5 version of Yakuza: Like A Dragon, but will with the Xbox One and Series X/S systems.

Dirt 5 will arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 6. Those who purchase the current-gen version of the game will receive a next-gen upgrade for free.
