Since it was first announced, fans of Dying Light have been scrounging for information about the upcoming sequel, Dying Light 2. First announced back in 2018 at Xbox’s E3 showcase, Dying Light 2 has been out of the spotlight for the past few years. The last we heard of the game was  January 2020, when the game was delayed indefinitely, before one of the game’s writers, Chris Avellone, was fired due to multiple sexual harassment allegations in February. However, we may be getting some new information about the game in 2021 if a screen-capped image posted on Reddit is to be believed.

First posted by user GamerMom1969 on Christmas Day, the screen-capped image in question is from the official Dying Light Discord server, where one developer posted a happy holidays picture, with the following message: “We’ve been, er, dying to update you all on how development has been going. We’ll have fresh updates about Dying Light 2 coming in the new year!”

With 2021 just starting, it’s a waiting game as to when we’ll hear more about the upcoming open-world Zombie title.
