Throughout the history of video games, we’ve seen fast-food restaurants team up with game companies to create contests to win gaming consoles and even video games based on fast-food mascots, like Ronald McDonald games on the NES or the infamous Burger King Video Games on the Xbox 360. Never in a million years did the world think that a fast-food chain would actually produce a video game console… but here we are with the KFConsole from KFC.
First unveiled back in June, many thought the KFConsole was just a joke, a marketing stunt in an attempt to ride off the reveal of the PS5. But, it seems that KFC is going all-in on this system. The KFConsole is a VR-ready, Intel-powered gaming PC that supports 4K Visuals, Ray-Tracing and features gameplay at 240 FPS. Not only is it a PC that features an Intel Nuc 9 and a swappable Asus powered GPU and two Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SSDs, but this beast of a machine can even keep your fried chicken warm.
“Never risk letting your chicken go cold again thanks to the patented Chicken Chamber,” reads the description on the official Coolmaster website. “Utilizing the systems natural heat and airflow system, you can now focus on your gameplay and enjoy hot, crispy chicken between rounds.”
A release date and price have not been revealed for the KFConsole.
