A US Law Firm has reportedly been working on preparation of filing a class action lawsuit against Nintendo after their continued Joy-Con issues remain present. Since the Nintendo Switch‘s March 2017 launch, the Joy-Con controllers have had reliability issues for some users.

According to GoNintendo, “The law offices of Chimicles, Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith are looking to hear from Switch owners who have experienced Joy-Con drift. If you’re one of those people, they want you to fill out their form with all the details. If enough people pool together and there’s sufficient evidence of a wide-spread issue, the law firm will consider filing a class action lawsuit.”

Nintendo’s legal action section remains a solid set as this surely isn’t their first time something like this has happened. They will have tons of patent claims covered as their corporation is one of the strongest gaming companies in the world. Law firms are asking for players with a Nintendo Switch that are experiencing Joy-Con issues with drift by filling out their online form.

To continue to push Nintendo’s Joy-Con issues, the Switch controllers are not cheap if they break. A pair of Joy-Cons costs $80, which is almost double of an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 controller. There are also issues involving the Joy-Con’s desynchronization as it causes the controllers to be unplayable when detached from the Switch sometimes.

The lawsuit could very well be a warning for Nintendo to fix or upgrade their Joy-Cons, as they will most likely lose a serious lawsuit to Nintendo in a court of law. Fans and consumers are asking for the defective controllers to get hardware replacements. Whether Nintendo listens or not, that’s another thing.

If you want to fill out a form to help Nintendo understand that you suffer from Joy-Con issues as well, click here to fill out the CSK&D form.
