Paramount Listened To Fans & Now ‘Sonic’ Movie Earns $57 Million In One Weekend!
In life, it is always best to not to upset large groups of people. When Sonic‘s original trailer came out in 2019, fans of the beloved hedgehog were verbal about their discontent. Paramount has heard these complains and potential flaws within their movie-trailer, so the company took months to redesign the character’s animation.
Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #sonicmovie #gottafixfast 🔧✌️

It’s a good thing that Sonic ended up looking much different than his first rendition, because the movie ended up becoming the video-game adaption with the highest-earning opening weekend in cinematic history. Critics aren’t too thrilled with the movie, but the fans across various film-review websites have nothing but love for the film.
Alright, so I went and checked out Sonic The Hedgehog. I’m going to be as brutally honest as possible. This is one of the best movies based on a video game, ever. It’s really good. You’re going to enjoy the film whether or not you’re a fan. #SonicMovie pic.twitter.com/FuyOAV4B9S

Jim Carrey, the Canadian comedian, was consistently praised for his tremendous efforts playing Dr. Robotnik. Carrey went back to his original roots an an manic comedian in this film, channeling his inner 1990’s star-power to deliver a performance that can also be seen in films such as Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mash, or even The Cable Guy.
holy crap…..
This can’t be intentional.
Can it?#SonicMovie #JimCarrey pic.twitter.com/xFzgfWWDyO

If Sonic had been made in the 1990s…
It probably would’ve had Warwick Davis in a blue fur suit…
With music by Vanilla Ice…
But would still have starred Jim Carrey as Robotnik.#SonicMovie pic.twitter.com/i5AvhLb98s

When the fans complained, Paramount knew that they had embraced their fans. If the general public didn’t care about Sonic, we would have seen a 2019 movie release. The film probably would have flopped, too. This franchise means a lot to older gamers and new ones alike, and that’s why the movie will be poised to inspire many sequels.
