Destiny 2’s Ballidorse Wrathweavers & Sentinel Shield Nerfs Highlight Unhappiness In The Playerbase

What’s on the chopping block for Destiny 2? Ballidorse Wraithweavers, a gauntlet currently so broken its shatter damage is toxic.
If you’re unfamiliar with the gauntlets or running the gauntlet, it’s time to do some research. The gear offers great shatter damage, and players have created their own ways to play with it effectively. Sporting a stacking damage buff (a temporary improvement) for your team, CC abilities, shielding skills and a high super damage increase, it’s no wonder why this was a popular gear. But with that said, this gear was disabled with impending nerfs (reduction in power) because the developers noticed players could be one-shot bosses with them. Yes, one-shot bosses. If that’s not broken, then what is?
Other gear is the answer. The exotic’s one-shotting ability caught the attention of the devs, which is why players need to find new gear to use in its place if they use it. Destiny 2 features several pieces of broken gear that are not being nerfed, but this was the one to nerf. The piece of gear was buffed, but ultimately, it allowed for the exploitation of bugs. While bugs can help some players progress, they can also hurt gameplay. If you’ve been trapped in a game with high microtransaction rates, you’d probably want to exploit some bugs, too. The same could be said if you want to see if you can do the one-shotting trick, but despite the divide over this gear, it’s leading to enough fallout as it is.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Sentinel Shields got a buff, but it also requires a nerf. The devs examined the data and then decided on nerfs. The mid-December adjustment could push more fans to leave the game altogether or restore a little balance.
Players are familiar with this type of problem, as the comments section attests. While the devs and the gamer-base exchange missives, the problem will continue.
