A new sci-fi action RPG, Empyreal, has been announced for release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025 from Silent Games and Secret Mode.

The official trailer for the game was uploaded on Nov. 21, along with some screenshots that show off the game’s unique setting. Silent Games offers a brief description of Empyreal’s story as follows: “In a far-flung corner of the galaxy, an expedition arrives on an unexplored planet, discovering a colossal monolith built by a lost civilization. As the Expedition team begins to investigate, it soon becomes apparent that this enigmatic and imposing structure is no mere ruin.”

Based on what is known about Empyreal so far, we can anticipate some intense combat, unlockable abilities, character customizations, and plenty of loot. The game also appears to have some uniquely designed foes and a beautiful setting perfect for exploration.

Regarding the trailer release, the Founder and CEO of Silent Games, Sally Blake, said, “We are very excited to finally reveal the game our team has been working hard on for the last few years. I believe we have managed to develop something that will resonate with players of hardcore RPGs who like to explore a huge variety of gameplay systems and enjoy a sophisticated narrative with complex themes.”

There is no official release date for Empyreal at this time. Those interested in keeping up with the development of the game can add Empyreal to their wishlist on Steam or follow the official Silent Games social media accounts.
