'Skyrim' Grandmother Shirley Curry, Who Has Made Over 300 Video Game Videos, Taking A Break After Mean Comments

The Skyrim Grandma, otherwise known as Shirley Curry, has made over 300 videos across various games. Part of her charm has been interacting with her viewers in the comment sections. But those interactions are causing Curry to change how she goes about her videos now.

Earlier this month, Curry posted a video to her YouTube channel where she explained that she is tired of receiving comments that fall more so in the category of mean. “I know I shouldn’t let these things stress me out, but they do,” said Curry. “From now on I will respond to very, very few comments. I will be deleting a lot of comments.”

Curry also mentioned that she is simply done with receiving comments from people telling her how to do certain things or play certain games, or comment on how she plays games. One of the toughest parts for Curry is the fact that despite having over 835,000 subscribers, she typically doesn’t get a lot of views on her videos, usually a couple thousand. With most of her videos typically exceed 30 minutes in length, people don’t usually watch for the whole video. Curry even mentioned that she feels that nobody truly appreciates the work that she does and the stories she tells during her videos.

So, Curry has decided to take a two-week break from making videos and will most likely not be posting every single day when she returns. “I’m trying to get my health under control,” she said. “I’m not trying to be cranky.”
