Its no question that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has captivated the world ever since the release of Ironman back in 2008. The MCU has brought hundreds of characters to life on the big screen, and now Square Enix, the developers of Final Fantasy XIV, Kingdom Hearts III and Tomb Raider, is developing an Avengers game.

Back in 2017, Square Enix and Marvel announced a partnership in which multiple games would be created based on the hit comic book series. More information will be released at E3 on June 10th, one of the biggest game conventions of the year during Square Enix’s presser.

A title of the game has yet to be announced, as right now the developers are simply calling it, The Avengers Project.

It is also unknown what type of game it could be. Whether its a story-based game revolving around our favorite characters, to a 1v1 duel game based off the likes of DC’s universe game: Injustice. The opportunities are endless for Square Enix. Hardcore Marvel fans have been waiting years for a game like this.

Since the announcement back in 2017, the MCU released Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, therefore the public has no idea what Square Enix could be developing.

The one thing that is for certain is that the game will have plenty of promotion and exposure for such a topic.
