Microsoft recently announced an additional showcase to take place on Thursday, June 17 at 1 pm EST. This presentation, known as Xbox Game Showcase Extended, comes after a sizable Showcase from Microsoft and Bethesda Games on June 13.

Parris Lilly, who is a contributor to Kinda Funny Xcast and Gamertag Radio, announced on Sunday night that he would be the host for this showcase.

Xbox Games Showcase: Extended will consist of conversations with studios such as Double Fine, Obsidian, Ninja Theory and Rare, in addition to others. No specific games were mentioned and those which will be discussed remain a mystery.

Double Fine announced a release date of August 25 for Psychonauts 2 in the Microsoft and Bethesda Showcase Sunday. The game will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. A new gameplay trailer also dropped. Obsidian also announced The Outer Worlds 2. Rare contributed by announcing an update to Sea of Thieves that will incorporate a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover.

This showcase might give additional insight into titles like Psychonauts 2, Sea of Thieves and others. Fans will look for details regarding Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II from Ninja Theory. The studio has not spoken about this title much since 2019.

Rare has failed to speak about Everwild, after reports that development on this large game has completely restarted. Although doubtful, fans will look for any information on Rare’s adventure game.

Obsidian’s Avowed, a fantasy role-playing game, is also a possible topic for Thursday’s proceedings.

This showcase remains shrouded in mystery as fans speculate about the possible games and content that could be covered through its course.
