The next installment of the Yakuza series, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, will arrive on PS5 much later than the PS4 and Xbox Series X versions. Recently, SEGA has confirmed that the current-gen and Xbox Series X versions of the game will be arriving on November 10, three days ahead of the original release date, and coinciding with the launch of the Xbox Series X and S.

While this is great news for Xbox owners, PlayStation Gamers will have to wait until March to play the latest game on next-gen hardware. Currently, SEGA has not given any reasoning as to why the game will arrive first to Series X/S. However, as with the Xbox version, players who purchase the PS4 version will gain access to the PS5 version for free, but PlayStation owners won’t be able to transfer Save Files.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon will be a departure for the series, with the game featuring a Turn-Based Combat System as opposed to the beat-em-up action the has come to define the series. It will also be the first installment of the series to feature English voice acting since the PS2 original back in 2006, with Star Trek’s George Takei playing a prominent role in the upcoming game.

Along with a new game, a feature film based on the series is currently in production.
