Marvel Phase 4 has been progressing relentlessly since its first announcement.

We have seen different Avengers expanding their character arches on streaming services. Such is the case in WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki is now vehemently streaming on Disney Plus. As for movies, Black Widow and Eternals will land in theaters in July and November. While both movies have already released official trailers, Spider-Man 3 has just got its movie title confirmed: Spider-Man 3: No Way Home.

Before the announcement, Tom Holland and Zendaya shared alleged Spider-Man 3 titles on Instagram. They were Spider-Man: Phone Home, Spider-Man: Home Slice and Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker. This could simply be a marketing strategy, heating up discussion of the upcoming movie. However, in light of Marvel’s notorious habits of leaking easter eggs, some fans speculated that the three titles might reflect the possibility of the multiverse.

While the title has been established, whether Spider-Man 3 features the multiverse still remains unknown. That being said, Holland has denied Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s return as alternative Spider-Mans. “No, no, they will not be appearing in this film,” he said. “Unless [Marvel] has hidden the most massive piece of information from me, which I think is too big of a secret for them to keep from me. But as of yet, no. It’ll be a continuation of the Spider-Man movies that we’ve been making.”

Still, No Way Home will feature some actors from other franchises. Alfred Molina will mark his return as Doctor Octopus, last seen in Maguire’s version of Spider-Man. J.K. Simmons will also return as J. Jonah Jameson.

Currently, there is no official release date. However, based on previous experiences, we can assume that a trailer normally arrives six months before the movie releases. Therefore, we can expect a trailer of No Way Home in June or July of 2021.
