Star Wars Outlaws has recently received an extensive update for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S and PC.

The recent Title Update 1.4.0 patch for Star Wars Outlaws is massive and has been highly anticipated by players. Most notably, the patch removes stealth requirements from nearly the entire game, improves enemy detection and AI as well as improves animations and facial expressions.

Previously, players were forced to succeed in stealth missions without triggering “do not get caught” or “do not raise the alarm” objectives or else they would be sent back to a checkpoint from an earlier stage in their gameplay. This proved to be a frustrating mechanic to players, and so it is no longer required in many parts of the game after Title Update 1.4.0.

Regarding the update, Ubisoft said, “This Title Update brings changes to combat and stealth allowing for greater player choice, the ability to now keep pick-up weapons in more situations, visual options to allow for a sharper image and much more to improve your journey across the galaxy.” All of these improvements seem to be a step in the right direction to create an even better immersive, open-world gaming experience within the Star Wars universe.

Unfortunately, this patch does not fix the problems affecting players who are running on Windows 11 24H2. Ubisoft says, however, that it is “working hard to deploy a permanent fix” to those issues as soon as possible.

Despite the positive reviews that Star Wars Outlaws has been met with since the game’s release a few months ago in August, it has challenged Ubisoft with poor sales. In light of this, Star Wars Outlaws creative director Drew Rechner has vowed to make significant changes to “elevate the game experience to better meet” the expectations of players. Hopefully, with these new changes underway, the game will see an increase in sales along with its launch on Steam and holiday shopping.

A detailed list of the Title Update 1.4.0 patch notes can be found in an official blog post on Ubisoft’s website.
