July PlayStation Plus Games Announced: ‘PES 2019’ And ‘Horizon Chase Turbo’
The July 2019 PS Plus Games have been revealed and will be available on Tuesday. Last month’s Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Sonic Mania were two great releases that were filled with hours of potential gameplay. Ahead of all the Women’s World Cup and other international soccer affairs going on, this month, Sony has delivered Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 and Horizon Chase Turbo. Once you download these free games, you’ll be able to keep them in your PlayStation library, so might as well download them and try them out for yourselves.
Horizon Chase Turbo is another one of those go-to racing games that never shy away from letting you have fun. According to Gamespot, the game is explained by the PlayStation Blog as “a love-letter to the iconic, just-one-more-go racers of the arcade’s golden age.” Horizon Chase Turbo is inspired by typical retro arcade racing games and has positive reviews. Metascore gave it a 77 percent, while the Nintendo Switch store has it sitting at a pretty 82 percent.
According to Express, the game’s description reads, “prepare for a blast of pure 90s nostalgia with Horizon Chase Turbo, a love-letter to the iconic, just-one-more-go racers of the arcade’s golden age.”
Pro Evolution Soccer 19, or PES, is certainly like EA’s FIFA, as the two are similar, constantly compared and competing with one another for the soccer consumer. But according to Gamespot, Konami’s recent review on it is appealing.
“For as long as EA continues to develop FIFA and hold a monopoly over official licenses, PES will be the scrappy underdog just hoping for a surprise upset, even when it’s fielding the likes of London Blue and PV White Red,” said Richard Wakeling, according to Gamespot. “The lack of licenses for top-tier leagues remains a disheartening sticking point, but PES continues to make brilliant strides on the pitch, building on what was already an incredibly satisfying game of football to produce one of the greatest playing football games of all time.”
Konami gave the game a whopping 9/10, respecting how far it’s truly came in terms of its predecessors. Go to the PS store and obtain the two new games that are available for free coming Tuesday.
