Releasing on October 20, Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spiderman 2 has come with praise from fans following the mixed reviews of the series’ previous entry, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

As more fans delve deeper into the game’s content, some have found that before the game’s release, last year the studio cut a lot of content relating to the Venom storyline of the game.

Reports of this had started when, during a talk with Venom voice actor, Tony Todd, he told fans in a panel for the game at Fan Expo San Francisco that only 10% of his lines had made it to the final game. In the game panel, there was mention that there was a storyline following Morales being infected by a symbiote. The main source of these reports came from a post thread by Evan Filarca, who was present during the panel with Todd and Mile Morales voice actor, Nadji Jeter.

These posts coincide with the rumors that circulated the game’s leaked content, which was rumored to have more Venom content in its files. The information from the leak was vague but it was said that there were some scrapped symbiote models found in the files. Many fans had noted that the game’s second act was likely where a lot of this cut content would have been. However, there has been no confirmation from the developers if this was the case.

Within information regarding the cut Venom content circulating online, there has also been a discovery made by fans regarding a removed room from the game containing the mounted heads of villains killed by Kraven, including the Spiderman villain Rhino, who was mysteriously absent from the game. This room can allegedly be found if a player clips underneath the game’s city map.

As more information and rumors surrounding cut content circulate online, some fans are debating if these cut concepts will be explored further in future DLC content of the game or within a 3rd installment of Insomniac’s Spiderman franchise.
