Senior director at Radeon Technologies Group, Ritche Corpus, sat down with BabelTechReviews Monday and revealed the Radeon 6800 and 6800 XT graphics cards debuted at AMD’s Where Gaming Begins event in October 2020. The stylish triple-fan design of the 6800 XT caught the eyes of many enthusiasts, and Corpus said that the design will make a return in the first quarter of 2021.

“Based on the response to our AMD Radeon RX 6800 Series and Radeon RX 6900 XT reference design graphics cards, we are extending production to make them available to as many gamers as possible on AMD.com at SEP,” Corpus said. “Additional reference cards are expected to be available in the first quarter of 2021. We will also continue supporting our partners in the development of their custom AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics card designs.”

The AMD RX 6800 launched with an MSRP of $579 and the 6800 XT is $649. The flagship RX 6900 XT is a cool $999. New AMD graphics cards, however, have been in high demand. Since the series’ November launch, it has been incredibly difficult to get a hold of a new card without scalpers.
