Mortal Kombat 11

The Mortal Kombat series is no stranger to adding guest characters to its line-up, with Mortal Kombat 11 already featured the likes of the Terminator, The Joker, Robocop and Spawn. Meanwhile, the 2011 reboot saw God of War‘s Kratos and Nightmare on Elms Streets‘ Freddy Kruger duking it out with other MK characters, and Mortal Kombat X had Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, The Predator and The Alien.

Now, joining classic R-Rated entertainment icons who had a guest appearance in Mortal Kombat is John Rambo from the Rambo franchise. First introduced in 1982’s First Blood, Rambo has been kicking-ass and taking names for almost 40 years, with the last film in the series, Rambo: Last Blood, released last year. The game even has Sylvester Stalone reprising his role as John Rambo.

In a recent gameplay video, NetherRelms gave fans a first look at Rambo’s moveset, which has him using his hand-to-hand skills to beat-up some of Mortal Kombat‘s best fighters. Rambo brings plenty of bloody pain to the mix, with the help of his combat knife and bow-and-arrow, and he’s even brought a few traps to sprinkle around his enemies. Rambo’s Fatality sees him throwing his knife to trip-up a foe into one of his traps, only for him to come up from behind and rip his opponent’s throat out.

Rambo will arrive in Mortal Kombat 11 on November 17. You can purchase him separately or as part of the 2nd Kombat Pass.
