Super Mario Maker 2

Super Mario Maker 2 (Nintendo)

Nintendo’s digital storefront is called the Nintendo eShop, and every Thursday the Kyoto-based giant releases new titles on it for the Switch. This weeks’s biggest offering is an anticipated sequel to one of the Wii U‘s greatest games, but fans of other series – including Dragon Quest and Devil May Cry – have reason to be excited too.

Super Mario Maker 2 launches tomorrow, evolving the level-editing antics of its forbear. All four visual styles from the Wii U iteration – Super Mario Bros., Super Mario. Bros. 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario. Bros. U – return, and they’re joined by a Super Mario 3D World backdrop. Among other new features and modes, a campaign will be included where our favorite portly plumber works with Toadette and his friends to rebuild Peach’s castle. Players will be unable to play with their friends in the game’s online multiplayer modes at launch, but this will be remedied through an update at a later point.

Additionally, a demo for Square Enix’s Dragon Quest Builders 2 is available for nabbing. The whole game will arrive on July 12, giving you plenty of time to acclimate to its intricacies before then.
