With it being a little over a week into Marvel Rivals Season 2, the community has begun to adapt to the new twist to the meta that was Emma Frost. With her versatility and proficiency in tanking, utility and both sustain and burst damage, she has cemented herself as a solid pick in the vanguard role. However, it won’t be too long until we get the 2nd character of the season, Ultron.

The character has been confirmed as a playable character and is already in the game in both the starting menu, cutscene and even in the new Krakoa map. However, only recently has the player base gotten a look at leaks showcasing Ultron’s full move set.

Ultron looks to be a hybrid strategist in the same vein as characters like Mantis or Adam Warlock. While definitely a healer, he also has the ability to do damage. It seems much like Adam Warlock; he’s a strategist whose primary fire ability is not healing ability. He is also unique in the fact he is the first and only flying character in the strategist roster. His ability, dynamic flight, allows for a quick burst of movement, and then he is able to be in a free-flight mode. This is interesting, as the only other free-flight characters are Iron Man, Human Torch, and Storm, who are all duelist characters.

For Ultron’s actual healing abilities, he has Imperative: Patch and Imperative: Firewall. Both summon healing drones, with the former having a large drone follow a singular player and heal them along with other teammates near them, and the latter doing the same but giving bonus health. And for his ultimate, his drones fire Encephalo-Rays, which offer massive healing or damage.

However, the character’s specifics aren’t known. Things such as health, hitbox size and ability cooldown times can only be discovered once players can start playing the character. The biggest question is how his drone abilities work. They could work on a limited charge-based system, such as Adam Warlock’s healing abilities, or perhaps the drones are entities with their own hitboxes and health that can be destroyed.
