Rainbow 6 Siege X, a free-to-play, team-based shooter game that was released on June 10, garnered mass attention due to the success of its prequel, Rainbow 6 Siege.
About The Game
Steam describes Rainbow 6 Siege X as, “the reference in tactical team shooters, where elite strategy and execution triumph. Enjoy free access to Quick Match, Unranked and Dual Front game modes with a selection of operators.”
Players will explore updated maps, encountering new destructible items that can level up their gameplay during combat. Currently, the updated maps are: Chalet, Kafe, Bank, Clubhouse, Border.
Along with updated maps, a 6v6 game mode is included in the game. The 6v6, called Dual Front, features a larger map with new objectives and allows players to respond after being eliminated.
There are plans to add an esports tab, allowing players to keep track of their and other teams’ stats from previous tournaments.
Since the recent release of Ubisoft’s latest game, Rainbow 6 Siege X, there have been several patch updates after players encountered several bugs in gameplay.
Bugs And Patches
The first patch was released the same day as the Rainbow 6 Siege X launch, aimed at fixing several issues. That includes the lack of text chat for console players outside the US, server crashes during support mode, and lobbies becoming unresponsive when the host leaves.
Later that same day, the Rainbow 6 Siege X official account posted an update addressing the bugs and announcing the maintenance that would be performed to fix the gameplay issues.
A user on Reddit addressed the issues they had running other games after downloading Rainbow 6 Siege X, “I’ve been playing Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege without any issues until recently. After installing Siege X, the game crashes immediately on startup and shows the “Oh no, it crashed!” error message through Ubisoft Connect.”
Players can report any issues on the R6FIX website.
