In the early days of music-genre gaming titles, the company Harmonix created and released Guitar Hero to the world. A few years later, the same company went on to create Rock Band, which is essentially Guitar Hero plus the other three key band-members.

In 2017, the company released a mobile game called DropMix. This game was released on only Apple and Android devices, and the point of the game was to make sick beats, using mashups and samples of pop and E.D.M songs. The game ended up winning several awards in the ‘family gaming’ genre. With that much success on mobile phones – the toughest platform for companies to gain success on – it was unsurprising that Harmonix would create a new game for more consoles.

This game is strikingly similar to DropMix, except the game will put less emphasis on the player ‘rising to stardom.’ In this game, user DJs will already be thrown into the spotlight and performing in massive electronic venues. Other than a mixing board, players will not be required to purchase any sort of gameplay pad.

In the game, players will not be rewarded by the sound that their mixes produce, but rather the player’s efforts. That means, that even if a player chooses to sample the lyrics to “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” and the drum and beats of “bad guy,” they will be graded on the timeliness of the remix, and inclusion of other songs. Don’t worry, the game won’t punish you for genre-bending those two songs together.

Here is the list of 16 out of 100 of the songs that will be featured on Fuser.

  1. (Don’t Fear) The Reaper – Blue Oyster Cult
  2. The Rockafeller Skank – Fatboy Slim
  3. Mi Gente – J. Balvin & Willy William
  4. Born This Way – Lady Gaga
  5. Old Town Road (Remix) – Lil Nas X & Billy Ray Cyrus
  6. Good As Hell – Lizzo
  7. Party Rock Anthem – LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock
  8. Better Now – Post Malone
  9. In Da Club – 50 Cent

  12. Rock The Casbah – The Clash
