Monster Hunter World

Monster Hunter: World recently released its first and only expansion, called Iceborne. However, the game is still receiving love as an upcoming update will add new content from fellow Capcom franchise Resident Evil.

The crossover trailer starts off simple enough showing off Leon and Claire as playable characters but takes a peculiar turn when zombified hunters and monsters are show in the world.

There’s also a space that looks like a winter cabin mixed in with a Resident Evil-style mansion. The trailer ends with Resident Evil 2‘s notorious villain, Mr. X, though he appears much friendlier than other renditions of the character.

This isn’t the first time Monster Hunter has been subject to crossover events, with Horizon Zero Dawn‘s Aloy and Witcher 3‘s Geralt also making appearances in the game. However, this event looks like things are being taken to a whole new level.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne’s Resident Evil event is scheduled to kick off this November. Before then, players should be hearing information soon about what it’s exact release date and exactly what’s in store for us when it comes out. Iceborne is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and the expansion is coming to Windows PC in January 2020.
