Overwatch‘s Summer Games yearly event recently began on July 20. It is available for PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4. The update will once again allow players to play Lúcioball and Lúcioball remix. Summer Games also adds eight new unlockable skins and other visual items. The development team also released a trailer for the event on July 20.

The event adds back the Lúcioball and Lúcioball remix game modes for the first time since the last summer games event. Lúcioball is Overwatch‘s spinoff of soccer in which players control the Lúcio character and attempt to “boop” the ball into the goal. Lúcioball remix is a more hectic version of the original, with two balls in play and occasional bonus balls that appear randomly. The three stadiums for this mode include Busan Stadium, Sydney Harbour Arena and Estádio das Rãs.

The event also allows players access to eight new skins. Three of these include epic skins for Winston, Pharah and Hanzo while the other five are legendary skins for Mei, Symmetra, Ashe, Sigma and Orisa.

From July 20-27, players could unlock the Ocean King Winston Icon, Spray and Skin by playing 9, 18 and 27 games respectively. A win counts as two games.

From July 27-August 3 players can acquire the Sunset Pharah Icon, Spray and Skin by playing the required amount of games. The same goes for week 3 when players can unlock the Nihon Honzo Icon, Spray and Skin.

The Mermaid Symmetra, Poolside Ashe, Referee Orisa, Sprinkles Mei and Scuba Sigma legendary skins can be found in loot boxes during the event. The referee Orisa launches soccer balls instead of her normal projectiles.

This update also added the beach mode emote for Wrecking Ball along with the marshmallows emote for Reinhardt. The grillmaster intro for Soldier 76 also ships with the update.

Overwatch Summer Games will conclude on August 10, giving players ample time to collect skins and enjoy Lúcioball.
