President Joe Biden may be the leader of the free world, but he just reclaimed an even more prestigious title: Mario Kart Champ.

Biden’s granddaughter, Naomi Biden, posted a video of her grandfather, the commander-in-chief, behind the wheel of Mario Kart Arcade GP DX to Instagram this weekend. The Bidens were visiting Camp David both for some well-deserved relaxation, as well as a scheduled meeting with national security advisors for uncle, or grandpa, Joe.

Critics were initially stunned to see Biden playing as Luigi, but experts now believe the green-capped second-in-command plumber was Biden’s man when playing with former President Barack Obama.

“Secret Service made an exception and let him drive himself!” Naomi wrote, confirming her grandfather is “a little rusty but he still won (barely).”
