A new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update has just been released earlier today. Update 1.08 has come after players started to complain about problems in the game. Patch notes have been released which deals with issues such as the Riot Shield, spawning and footsteps.

The new update includes fixing the worst issue that gamers can have which is crashes and bad responsiveness. Nothing is worse than playing a laggy game that crashes and this is the first thing that Infinity Ward worked to solve.

The Riot Shield update solved the problem where a player who used the Riot Shield wouldn’t take explosives damage in specific situations.

A mission challenge description was altered because the previous phrase “Get Kills with a Burst Weapon” was too vague and had no specific number of kills.

When in ADS and crouched, the sounds of footsteps are played regardless, indicating the presence of other players. The Domination flag B was also altered – instead of being in the fountain now the flag is near the buses.

As for the weapons, the Assault Rifles have a reduced hip-shot spread. The 725 has a reduced range in each shot, the M4 has an increased hip spread but reduced damage to the head of your opponent. The FAL has a significantly reduced recoil but has an increased ADS speed. The EB-14 also has improved ADS speed. As for ammo, there had been a reserve adjustment at spawning where now there is a similarity with other weapons of their class.

Players also complained about a bug which now has been fixed. This bug was seen when using the Overkill perk with an SMG as their secondary weapon would spawn with no primary weapon when entering a match that was already in progress.
