After reporting that CD Projekt Red was working on two other games set in the Cyberpunk 2077 world, Tech Radar has reported they are working on other AAA titles outside the Cypberpunk universe.

According to Tech Radar, media outlets were trying to use Google Translate to push the articles out faster than the rest, and PC Gamer reported that CD was working on other games in the Cyberpunk universe, but has lately reported there was a possible error in the translation from the Polish developers. CD Projekt Red hasn’t clarified whether or not their next games will be in the Cyberpunk universe or not, after there was a report from PC Gamer saying they were.

You shouldn’t lose all hope for a sequel, however, as the studio hasn’t denied one could be in development. They merely clarified that they haven’t announced what their next AAA games will be and where they will take place.

A representative from the Polish developers said there are five total teams at CD Projekt Red, and three of those five are currently working to finish Cyberpunk 2077. They said it’s possible the other teams may be working on a sequel, but the developers aren’t ready to reveal their future plans yet.

CD Projekt Red Vice President Piotr Nielubowicz has confirmed they will be working on another AAA game. With a promising quote, he said “our next big project will also be in the ‘cyberpunk’ universe, and we’re already working on it and treating it as a really big and innovative project for us,” according to Tech Radar. Whether that means it’s their anticipated multiplayer version of the game or another single-player RPG remains to be seen.

For now though, let’s all be happy with what we have: one of the most anticipated, higher-scaled RPG’s in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, set to be released in April 2020, almost half a year from now.
