During MAPPA’s 10-year anniversary event, the studio released the first trailer for Chainsaw Man since the announcement of its adaptation last December, and it retains the core spirit of the manga: violence.

Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto is a manga introducing the chaotic life of a poor young man Denji. Drowning under an ocean of debt, Denji is willing to do anything to change the status quo, including slaying devils. However, his life turns upside down when he gets betrayed and killed by someone he trusts. Revived by a demon dog Pochita, Denji transforms into a hybrid of demon and human, wielding his deadly arms as the Chainsaw Man.

At the event, Jujutsu Kaisen episode director Ryū Nakayama announced his participation in Chainsaw Man’s anime production. And As for the score, Kensuke Ushio (DEVILMAN crybaby) will be composing, while Hiroshi Seko (Deca-Dence, Dorohedoro) is handling the script.

Currently, there’s no information about the anime’s release date. While I’ll advise you to wait for the anime to experience the enhanced visuals, you can definitely take a glimpse of the manga to experience Chainsaw Man‘s gory world.
