Gears Tactics, the turn-based real-time strategy game from Splash Damage and The Coalition, will be arriving on Xbox consoles on November 10. Originally released for PC earlier this year, Gears Tactics is a prequel set years before the original Gears of War and follows Alpha Squad led by Gabriel Diaz, the father of Gears 5 protagonist Kait. The game was the first installment to move away from the cover-based shooting gameplay and instead focus on squad-based tactics.

On Twitter, Xbox promise 4k Visuals at 60 FPS on both Xbox Series X and Xbox One X. You’ll have the option to purchase the game from the storefront of your choice or get it free with Xbox Game Pass. Gears Tactics will also include new features, such as new characters, like Jack from the mainline entries, more formidable enemies and enhanced controls for Xbox controllers. If you pre-order now for consoles, you’ll also gain access to the Cole Train pack. The best part is that all of these enhancements will be coming to PC free of charge.

Gears Tactics was first announced back at E3 2018 alongside Gears 5 and Gears of War Funko. The game was released on April 28 for PC and was met with positive reviews from critics.
