Metal Gear Solid

Last week, it was reported that Konami might bring some early installments to the Metal Gear series to PC, including Metal Gear on the MXS 2, Metal Gear Solid, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Subsistence. Now, it appears that Konami will be doing more than just bringing over a few games to PC. If sources from YouTuber RedGamingTech are to be believed, a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid could be on the way. Two of his sources claim that the game will be coming to both PS5 and PC, and it will be a ground-up remake of the PS1 Classic.

RedGamingTech source also claims that  Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and 4 will also arrive on PS5 and PC, but these will be more akin to HD ports, similar to the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection released on PS3 and Xbox 360. It’s currently unclear if 3 and 4 will arrive on the PC with Metal Gear, along with Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2. RedGamingTech wasn’t able to give a release date for the remake and HD Ports, but they are in development as we speak.

Since the departure of series creator, Hideo Kojima, Konami has only released one game in the Metal Gear franchise in 2017’s critical and financial disappointment, Metal Gear Survive.
