It’s the beginning of a new year, so why not kick 2017 off with some new games? Nintendo uploaded a few new titles to the eShop, so let’s see what’s up for grabs.

Nintendo eShop Releases – January 5, 2017

Pokémon Snap brings back memories! At its core, Snap is a rail shooter, but you’ll shoot Pokémon on film rather than with a gun. Todd, a recurring character the anime’s Original Series, has traveled to the unexplored Pokémon Island. It’s up to the photographer to capture pictures of the island’s 63 indigenous Pokémon as they interact with nature and each other. Once you’re done with an expedition, Professor Oak will rate your portraits. Can you discover the elusive Rainbow Cloud?

Here’s everything Nintendo released on the eShop this week:

Wii U

Games:

  • CUP CRITTERS (RCMADIAX, $1.49)
  • Spheroids (Eclipse Games, $7.99)
  • Zombie Bridgade: No Brain No Gain (Cypronia, $4.99)
  • Pokémon Snap (Nintendo/The Pokémon Company, $9.99 – originally for the Nintendo 64)

Nintendo 3DS

Games:

  • Quiet, Please! (Nostatic Software, $2.99)

Nothing listed above catches your attention? Check out what’s on sale. …Uh, nothing there interests you? Do you like Yoshi or Kirby? Yeah, this is a particularly quiet week for the eShop. We’ll say it’s the calm before next week’s Switch-themed storm.

Will you download anything this week?

You know, I wrote my first Nintendo eShop article on January 1, 2015. Ergo, it’s been my tradition for two years to cover the latest releases in Nintendo’s digital store. However, I only started writing here this past September, so I’m still a comparatively new member of the uInterview family.

Anyway, I hope you’ve been enjoying my contributions to uInterview.com! Cheers!
