So, friends, do any of you have a Nintendo Switch? When I’m not writing my compelling contributions to our uShop, I’m looking for more rivals to compete with in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. (I warn you: I’m above average. I recently partook in an online tourney a friend hosted. While I entered late, I didn’t completely embarrass myself!)

Also, if you do have a Switch, this week’s eShop update is tailored for you with two big releases.

NINTENDO ESHOP RELEASES – MAY 25, 2017

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is billed as “the newest iteration of Street Fighter II in 10 years.” Now, I’m sure you’re wondering why you should get excited, considering how there are innumerable versions of the 2D fighter on the market. Honestly, you have a point, but you can’t go wrong with a proven classic. Plus, this version does add some new facets to the title, most notably the late arrivals of Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. Furthermore, new modes are available, including a mode utilizing the Joy-Con’s motion controls.

Disgaea 5 Complete brings Nippon’s strategy RPG over, granting those who brave its dangers hundreds of hours of gameplay. As the Complete addendum implies, this iteration of Disgaea 5 contains “all eight bonus scenarios, four fan-favorite characters and three character classes that were originally only available as DLC.” Moreover, a free demo was posted last week if you’d like a trial.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia‘s DLC continues this week with the second and third packs. Reminder: a season pass carrying 22 pieces of content is buyable for $44.99.

Here’s everything Nintendo released on the eShop this week:

  • Disgaea 5 Complete (Nippon, $59.99 – also available at retail)
