Sega‘s Super Game Project is actually a series of games, and two of those will be reboots of Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi.

Crazy Taxi has been in development for a year and should be released in either 2024 or 2025. So far, there is no timeline for the release of Jet Set Radio.

The original installments of the games were released over 20 years ago and instantly became cult classics as they received multiple reincarnations. Crazy Taxi is a driving game, where players are tasked with delivering passengers to their destination while racking up the largest fares in the quickest amount of time. The game was released in 1999, but the game’s last official installment was Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars released in 2007.

Jet Set Radio was released the next year. It is a game that centers around a youth gang as they graffiti locations in Tokyo, challenge rival gangs and dodge the cops.

Both games are in the early stages of development and there is a chance that they could both get scrapped.

Reports say that the videogame developer will be modeling their Super Game Project after Epic’s Fortnite, likely making the games free-to-play and available across multiple platforms.
