Due to the coronavirus pandemic, people have been unable to attend concerts of their favorite musicians. For fans of Travis Scott, last week, they were able to attend a virtual concert of the rap superstar via Fortnite.

For three days, Fortnite aired a recorded concert of Scott in their games that fans and players of Fortnite could attend, where Scott performed some of his biggest hits. Scott was slated to headline Coachella back in April.

This is not the first time Fortnite has used its platform to engage its players. Last year, Fortnite did a similar concert series with popular DJ Marshmello. The game has also done promotional events for Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, the NFL, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Epic Games, the company that created the popular battle royale game, has not announced any future plans to do a concert series like this during this void of live music during the pandemic, but given the popular reception of these events among fans in the past on social media, don’t be surprised if Epic, or other companies for that matter, try to capitalize on the opportunity.
