Epic Games is no stranger to integrating foreign properties into Fortnite, from Netflix’s Stranger Things to Marvel’s Avengers. According to files found by longtime Fortnite dataminer Lucas7Yoshi after last week’s update, the battle royale’s next crossover will honor DC’s Dark Knight himself, Batman. PC Gamer has complied all of the pertinent findings.

Several of the superhero’s bat-themed toys will appear throughout Fortnite, including two gliders, a spray, an Arkham-esque grappling gun and – of course – a Batarang. This is an explosive Batarang, however, that will home in on opposing players and can stick to walls. It’ll explode should it detect an approaching enemy. Costumes haven’t yet been discovered as of this writing, but Lucas7Yoshi suspects we’ll score a skin.

Just as combatants will be given new weapons to play with, the map will similarly be adjusted to fit in with the Batman aesthetic. Rift Zones are areas within Fortnite‘s map that are susceptible to alterations, and Lucas7Yoshi’s discoveries suggest the Titled Town location will don gothic architecture reminiscent of Gotham City. Perhaps players will soon be able to pounce upon each other from gargoyles perched atop skyscrapers.

September 21 marks Batman Day, the anniversary of the brooding icon’s humble first comic book issue. Epic Games nor DC have officially acknowledged this inevitable BatmanFortnite crossover, but it seems like that’s around when the event will go live.
