At this point, even if you aren’t familiar with gaming, you’ve probably heard about the drama behind Cyberpunk 2077. The game was released in an unfinished state and caused thousands of gamers to get really angry for being sold what is essentially a defective product on PS4 and Xbox One. It was so bad that the company could be facing a potential lawsuit given the game’s current status. After the game’s release, developer CD Projekt Red announced that they would be offering refunds for the game, with Microsoft and Sony following suit. The latter even removed Cyberpunk 2077 from its digital storefront.
Now, if you bought a physical copy of the game at places like GameStop, the company will now be offering refunds for Cyberpunk 2077, even if the game has been opened.
GameStop began sending memos to staff members that instructs them to offer full refunds for customers dissatisfied with Cyberpunk 2077. Usually, GameStop doesn’t allow refunds for games that are already open but have made an exception for this case. Customers have 30 days to return the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia.
