Gotham Knights finally has a release date. The DC Heroes game will be out on October 25, announced by the official Twitter account Wednesday morning.

DC fans have been waiting for the news since the trailer came out last October. Gotham Knights was initially set for a 2021 release but the date was pushed back.

The exciting trailer features the entire Batfamily, which is comprised of Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood as they go up against villain The Penguin in a world after Bruce Wayne has died. Now, their mission is to protect Gotham City without him.

“I was blown away,” said Court of Owls creator Scott Snyder in an official behind-the-scenes featurette about the expanded version from DC FanDome, “It took what we had done with Court of Owls but it just elevated it beyond a lot of the borders that we had had.”

The game also features new gear for different purposes, so the player will need to make a decision on what to use.

“So, like any good RPG,” creative director Patrick Redding said. “We’re presenting you with a problem, and then we’re presenting you with a range of potential solutions, and then players will have an opportunity to maximize that according to their own style.”
