Fans are running out of patience for a new Grand Theft Auto game to release.

Heck, I was in college at the time and went to the midnight release at a local GameStop to pick up GTA V.

That was long before GameStop started closing a slew of its stores across the country because of its failing business model.

The game came out about five years after GTA IV was released – so that was long enough.

Now, we are approaching a decade since the most recent GTA game has launched.

While game publisher Rockstar has said that the next GTA is in “active development” industry analysts think that it won’t be released until March 2024, according to New Musical Express.

And let’s just say fans aren’t too happy about the long wait in between GTA games.

Here are some hilarious reactions.

And one fan is taking pessimism to the next level: “20 years later: buy the newest GTA V remaster. GTA 6 delayed.”

To focus on GTA VI, Rockstar has reportedly put aside plans for Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV remasters.

There has been no official trailer revealed by Rockstar on GTA VI – let alone a release date.

Also, there are no official details on where the setting will take place.

The GTA V game was based in the city of Los Santos, which is located in southern California.
