Joker from Persona 5 (Atlus)

Atlus often re-releases its titles while adding new content to the mix, and it seems as if their 2016 hit Persona 5 may be getting that treatment too. During the Persona 5 the Animation: Stars and Ours presentation that aired over the weekend, the studio formally unveiled Persona 5: The Royal. It is currently planned to come to the PlayStation 4.

According to Gematsu‘s translation, the voice in the trailer asks, “What do you think of the Phantom Thieves?” A newcomer to the fold responds, “I think helping people is a wonderful thing, but if I had to say, I don’t like them. I don’t think the Phantom Thieves’ methods will make the world a better place or help anyone. In the end, I feel like you can only solve that yourself.” The identity of this character is unknown, nor do we know if she’ll assist the Phantom Thieves or oppose them.

Further details on the upcoming Persona title will be divulged on April 24, the day of the series’ Super Live concert special. Moreover, Persona 5 protagonist Joker is currently slated to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s roster next month as well, as the first DLC character in its Fighters Pass.
