Though their latest project was released about a week ago, the studio behind Star Wars Squadron, EA Motive, is already working on their next project. In an interview with IGN, EA Motive’s general manager, Patrick Klaus, told the website that it is working on games “to empower players to create, experiment, live and share their unique stories.” While Klaus couldn’t disclose what these new games are, he did tell them that “there is a lot of ambition going on the early success of Star Wars: Squadrons in the studio, a lot of appetites to innovate.”

Klaus noted that the games EA Motive is working on are a mixture of old titles and fan-favorite brands. “A lot of what we’re trying to have is balance in our product range,” Klaus said. “On top of that, I want to say one of the key ingredients for us… is very much on creating some experiences that are going to empower players through gameplay to experiment.”

When asked about the release and success of Star Wars Squadron, Klaus said that he was proud and wanted to congratulate the team on their work, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. “This pandemic has hit all of us really hard, and we had to adapt. We’ve been working from home since mid-March. The entire dev team has been working from home — still working from home.”

Star Wars: Squadrons was released on October 2.
