A new region is coming to the free-to-play RPG, Genshin Impact. Announced by developer MiHoYo, the new area will arrive in December, as part of the Version 1.2 update. Along with a new region, MiHoYo has revealed its roadmap for future updates, with Version 1.1 arriving next month, which will be adding the Unreconciled Stars event. Meanwhile, Version 1.3 will be arriving sometime in February, which will add the Lantern Rite event.

“We are always experimenting with different optimization methods to bring you better content, and even now, the development of multiple versions is proceeding simultaneously to ensure that content will continue to roll out in a stable manner,” write the devs in a blog post. “The development of future versions is already proceeding apace. We will do our best to ensure that a version update will occur once every 6 weeks, with the update itself taking place on a Wednesday (specifics are dependent on circumstances). Every version update will come with its own themed activities.”

Genshin Impact was released on PS4, PC and Mobile on September 28, amassing over 21 million players. A version for the Nintendo Switch is planned to be released.
