Fortnite‘s newest season has arrived, and not without an Epic (Games) change.

Chapter 3, Season 2 has removed building, a foundational mechanism in the game.

“Building has been wiped out!” Epic wrote on the official Fortnite website. “To help maintain cover, you now have an Overshield on top of your Shield and Health. The Overshield is your first line of defense: before your Shield and Health take a hit, it’s your Overshield that’ll crack. Your Overshield will still recover if it goes all the way down to 0.”

The game allowed some changes to compensate for the ban on building, including faster sprint speeds, a new Overshield, shoulder bashing and mantling, which means climbing onto ledges that are too high to be jumped on. The Overshield will be the biggest help for players, as it will lay over the shield.

There is also an addition of a combat SMG and Striker Burst Rifle. A new mode of transportation includes the armored battle bus, complete with Chonkers tires and an updated Cow Catcher to boost ramming power. There is also a new repair torch, that can revive vehicles.

New Marvel characters, including Doctor Strange and Prowler, have also arrived on Fortnite.

Epic Games, joined by Xbox, also announced that they will be forwarding all Fortnite proceeds made from March 20-April 3 to humanitarian relief for Ukrainian refugees.

This season still last until at least June 3.
